Amber's Birthday Birding Guided Trip
First things first, make sure to thoroughly review the options on our webpage to choose the perfect kayaking experience for you. Once you've made your selection, it's essential to register for your kayak directly on the site. As part of the registration process, you'll also sign a waiver electronically, getting all the paperwork out of the way beforehand so you can focus on the fun!
Your adventure officially begins on August 8th at Farm by Beer Tree by 5pm. Please arrive by 4:45pm so we can depart by 5pm. There, our guide will greet you and provide all the essential gear: a life jacket, a paddle, and safety instructions to ensure you feel confident and secure on the water.
Next, you’ll hop into our convenient shuttle van for a short but scenic 10-minute drive to our launch point. After dropping off the trailer at the launch point, we will drive to the Bog Trail for a short hike to a popular birding location. We will listen and look for birds in their natural habitat. After viewing the birds on land, we will head back to the river launch and kayak down the river, watching for water loving birds along the way.
The Trip
Embark on a bird watching adventure on the picturesque Chenango River with Take Adventures Everyday. Our guided trip focuses on identifying and learning about local birds in their natural habitat. We will also take a short hike to allow a greater variety of birds. After the trip, you'll receive a list of birds spotted, making it a wonderful learning experience for all bird enthusiasts. Binoculars are recommended for an enhanced bird watching experience.
This gentle paddle on the Chenango River, starting at Chenango Valley State Park and ending at Farm by Beer Tree, is the perfect introduction to the joys of kayaking.
This short and scenic route is ideal for beginners and families. Enjoy a relaxing journey with minimal current, soaking in the beauty of the surrounding park and the diverse wildlife. You'll even see an eagle's nest along the way!
The best part? Your adventure ends with a delicious reward! Farm by Beer Tree awaits with refreshing craft beers and delectable food to celebrate your kayaking achievement.
