Frequently Asked Questions
I'm a beginner, is there a trip that I can take? The Chenango Valley State Park to Beer Tree trip is a very beginner friendly trip. There are no obstacles to navigate and it's the shortest trip we have. You will still get to see a good amount of nature, including an eagle's nest, along the way.
How does a trip work? Booking a trip with Take Adventures Everyday is easy! Simply select your desired date and time online and complete the payment process.
On the day of your adventure, head to our meeting point at Farm by Beer Tree. We’ll provide a brief orientation and then transport you to the river access point. There, you’ll receive your kayak, life jacket, and paddle, along with a safety briefing before launching into your adventure.
When you finish your paddle, return to the designated landing spot. Our team will be there to collect your equipment while you relax and enjoy the rest of your day.
It's that simple! Let us handle the logistics so you can focus on enjoying the river.
What should we bring? We recommend bringing comfortable clothing that can get wet, water shoes, sun protection, and some drinks and snacks. If you plan to bring your phone, make sure it is in something waterproof (we do have cases for sale).
What if it rains? We'll monitor the weather and make any necessary adjustments to ensure your safety and comfort. In the event of rain, we'll provide either a refund or a rebooking on a date of your choosing.
Why do you use public access to launch, couldn't anybody do that? Our goal at Take Adventures Everyday is to help remove barriers and make outdoor adventures accessible to everyone. Public access points are crucial for several reasons:
Safety: These areas are often patrolled and maintained, ensuring a safer experience for paddlers.
Environmental Protection: Designated launch points help protect fragile ecosystems by preventing erosion and disturbance to wildlife.
Community Access: By utilizing public access points, we encourage community engagement and support for water-based recreation.

What do we get with the shuttle service? We'll load your kayak on the trailer and give you a ride to the launch spot. You'll have room to bring your paddle, life jacket, and a small bag or fishing gear.

Is your van a hippy van? Our van is a comfortable and reliable vehicle that's perfect for transporting our guests and equipment. We are considering using the van to shuttle guests to music festivals, but it isn't a hippy just yet.
