First things first, make sure to thoroughly review the options on our webpage to choose the perfect kayaking experience for you. Once you've made your selection, it's essential to register for your kayak directly on the site. As part of the registration process, you'll also sign a waiver electronically, getting all the paperwork out of the way beforehand so you can focus on the fun!
Your adventure officially begins on June 30th at 4pm at Chenango Valley State Park. Please arrive at the River Launch at 3:45pm so you can depart by 4pm. There, our guide will greet you and provide all the essential gear: a life jacket, a paddle, and safety instructions to ensure you feel confident and secure on the water.
Once you’re on the water, the day is yours to command; while this is a self-guided experience, we’ll ensure you're equipped with all the maps and local insights you need to navigate with confidence. All you need to do is paddle at your own pace, soak in the tranquility, and enjoy the freedom of the journey.
At the end of your trip, simply leave the kayaks at the landing at Beer Tree. Our guide will pick them up and then give you a shuttle back to Chenango Valley State Park at 7pm.
The Trip
This gentle paddle on the Chenango River, starting at Chenango Valley State Park and ending at Farm by Beer Tree, is the perfect introduction to the joys of kayaking.
This short and scenic route is ideal for beginners and families. Enjoy a relaxing journey with minimal current, soaking in the beauty of the surrounding park and the diverse wildlife. You'll even see an eagle's nest along the way!
The best part? Your adventure ends with a delicious reward! Farm by Beer Tree awaits with refreshing craft beers and delectable food to celebrate your kayaking achievement.
